About 60Kb for single photo is a huge waste of space for who have 1.000.000 of photo. Add an option for don't save the thumbnail image on your database but generate on the fly. Give the option for saving only the fingerprint, metadata and tags without the thumbnail.
P.S: the 60Kb are calculated for 2,7Gb of space consumed by your database indexing about 45.000 photo.
